What is DreamTeam, and how does it work?

DreamTeam is a publishing assistant for YouTube creators. You paste the link to one of your own YouTube videos, and DreamTeam reads its transcript and metadata to generate a complete, SEO-optimized publishing pack for that video: a title, description, tags, hashtags, a pinned comment, chapters, captions, and card and end-screen suggestions. Every field has its own copy button, so you can paste each one into YouTube Studio yourself in a couple of minutes, instead of writing it all by hand.

Example: say you just uploaded a 12-minute tutorial called "How I edit my YouTube videos". You paste https://youtu.be/your-video-id into DreamTeam. In under a minute you get back a keyword-optimized title such as "How I Edit My YouTube Videos (Full Workflow, 2026)", a description with a hook, timestamped chapters, a maximized tag list, three hashtags, a pinned comment designed to start a conversation in the comments, and ready-to-upload captions. You copy and paste whichever fields you want into YouTube Studio, at your own pace.

Optional: connect your YouTube channel. If you choose to connect your own YouTube channel with Google Sign-In, DreamTeam can also write the generated title, description, tags, and language localizations directly onto your own video for you, instead of you copying and pasting each field by hand. DreamTeam only ever reads and writes videos on the channel you connect. It never touches any other channel, and it never publishes, deletes, or makes anything public that wasn't already public.

Before DreamTeam writes anything to your video, it always shows you a confirmation popup first listing exactly which fields (title, description, tags, localizations, captions) are about to be written, and nothing is written until you confirm.

A note if your video is already optimized: if you already have a finished, hand-optimized title and description on a video, we recommend against using the one-click write-back on that video, since it would overwrite your existing metadata. In that case we suggest using only the localization feature (adding translated titles and descriptions in other languages) rather than overwriting your existing English fields. DreamTeam is not responsible for any content that gets overwritten as a result of using the write-back feature; the confirmation popup exists precisely so that this is always your deliberate choice, never an automatic or accidental one.

Exactly which Google permissions DreamTeam asks for, and why

DreamTeam asks for its permissions on one consent screen, at the moment you connect your channel, and never asks for more than the app actually uses.

To identify you. openid, email, and profile. These are non-sensitive scopes. They identify who you are (your name, e-mail address, and profile picture) so DreamTeam can create your account and enforce the free daily and monthly pack limits. They give DreamTeam no access to your YouTube channel, your videos, or any other Google data.

To work with your channel. DreamTeam builds a publishing pack from a video on your own channel, so it asks for two additional, sensitive scopes on the same screen:

Both sensitive scopes are requested together on that single consent screen, but each scope's actual API usage is on its own separate code path, gated behind its own explicit user action, exactly as described above. Nothing is ever written to a video without the confirmation popup.

Performance data is separate, and optional. The read-only YouTube Analytics scope (yt-analytics.readonly) is never part of the screen above. It is requested only if you click "Enable performance data" on the Metrics page, on its own consent screen, and only to show you your own channel's numbers.

Revoking access. You can disconnect your channel and revoke both sensitive scopes at any time, either from inside DreamTeam or directly from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access does not delete your account or your free-tier publishing history; it only removes DreamTeam's ability to read or write your YouTube channel going forward.

Data handling. DreamTeam only stores your channel ID, video ID, and an encrypted OAuth refresh token so it can act on your behalf on future visits; it never stores your video content, captions, or transcripts beyond what is needed to generate and display your publishing pack. DreamTeam does not sell user data and does not use YouTube API data for advertising, in line with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Google's Limited Use requirements.
